TAMPA — Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will be one of four NFL signal-callers featured in the third season of Netflix’s “Quarterback” documentary series, the streaming platform announced Wednesday, with the first episode set for July 14.

Netflix crews followed Mayfield throughout the Buccaneers’ 2025 campaign, both on the field and away from it. He was joined in the series by Tennessee Titans rookie Cam Ward, Washington Commanders passer Jayden Daniels and Joe Flacco, who played for both the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals in 2025.

Mayfield produced another prolific season in his third year as Tampa Bay’s starter, throwing for 3,693 passing yards and 26 touchdown tosses. Over his three seasons with the Buccaneers, he has accumulated 12,237 yards and 95 touchdowns, ranking third in that time span in passing yards and second in touchdown passes leaguewide.

The 2025 season gave Netflix plenty of late-season drama to capture. The Buccaneers tied for the NFC South lead but lost the division-championship tiebreaker to the Carolina Panthers. Tampa Bay was not eliminated until the day after it defeated the Panthers in Week 18, when the Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints. The Buccaneers had won the previous four NFC South titles, two of which featured Mayfield at the helm of the offense.

Previous iterations of the series have featured Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota, Joe Burrow and Jared Goff. The third season’s first episode is scheduled to drop July 14 on Netflix.
