BELL — A 31-year-old summer youth camp counselor faces 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material after a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation traced his Cash App payments to a Bitcoin wallet linked to exploitation trafficking, Attorney General James Uthmeier announced.
Coty Streit, of Bell, also faces one count of transmission of child sexual abuse material by electronic device and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He is held in the Gilchrist County Jail on a $1.7 million bond and faces up to 85 years in the Florida Department of Corrections if convicted as charged.
“It should be clear by now that no one will get away with preying on children in Florida, in-person or online,” said Attorney General Uthmeier. “I’m thankful for FDLE’s leadership on this investigation and for our law enforcement partners who got this predator out of the community before he was able to be near kids again.”
The investigation launched in March 2026 after FDLE received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Streit was attempting to send Cash App payments to a Bitcoin wallet associated with child sexual abuse material trafficking. FDLE then obtained subpoenas on Streit’s cell phone information, which led to the discovery of two additional NCMEC cyber tips showing Streit was uploading and sharing exploitation material from his Instagram account.
The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations assisted with Streit’s arrest. Chief Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Kelsey Bledsoe will prosecute the case in the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
