CINCINNATI — Linebacker Christian Rozeboom has been cleared to make his Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut in the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium, while three players listed as doubtful — wide receiver Jalen McMillan, tackle Justin Skule and running back Sean Tucker — are inactive.

Rozeboom, who signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent in the offseason, had been limited in recent weeks by a foot injury but was not among the seven players on the Buccaneers’ inactive list submitted at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff. His availability resolves the club’s most uncertain lineup question heading into Week One.

McMillan is out with a knee injury, Skule with an oblique and Tucker with a hamstring. With McMillan sidelined, the Buccaneers will dress five wide receivers, including rookie Ted Hurst, who figures to see an expanded role. The team elevated running back Josh Williams and safety Ifeatu Melifonwu from the practice squad Saturday, giving Tampa Bay a three-man backfield even without Tucker.

The remaining Buccaneers inactives are defensive linemen DeMonte Capehart and Elijah Simmons, cornerback Ayden Garnes and guard Billy Schrauth. After the two practice-squad elevations, Tampa Bay carried 55 available players and had to name seven inactives to reach the game-day limit of 48.

Cincinnati also designated seven inactives, headlined by second-year defensive end Shemar Stewart, who dealt with a knee injury throughout training camp. Stewart was a full participant in practice early in the week but was gradually downgraded to limited Thursday and out Friday. The Bengals’ other inactives are tight end Jack Endries, tackle Myles Hinton, center Connor Lew, cornerback Josh Newton, defensive tackle Landon Robinson and wide receiver Ke’Shawn Williams.

Bengals cornerback D.J. Turner, who appeared on the injury report Thursday with a hamstring issue and was limited for two practices, has been cleared to play. Cincinnati elevated linebacker Joe Giles-Harris and tight end Tanner Hudson from its practice squad for the game.

Kickoff at Paycor Stadium is set for 90 minutes after the inactive lists were filed, with both teams opening their regular-season schedules.
