ARLINGTON, Texas - Rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels will make his second consecutive start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Week Five matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium, with Baker Mayfield still sidelined by a right thumb injury and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. out with a rib fracture.

Winfield, who sustained the rib injury in the team’s Week Four game against Green Bay, is expected to miss two to four weeks. Mayfield, Dennis, Morrison and Winfield are all listed as out due to injury on the official inactives report, which the Buccaneers submitted at 6:45 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff.

Tampa Bay elevated safety J.J. Roberts and quarterback Easton Stick from the practice squad, giving the Buccaneers 55 available players. The team named seven inactives to reach the game-day limit of 48. Also inactive are linebacker SirVocea Dennis with an ankle/foot injury and cornerback Benjamin Morrison with a quad injury.

On the positive side for Tampa Bay, rookie outside linebacker Rueben Bain Jr. returns to action after missing two games with shoulder and groin injuries. Bain had started the Buccaneers’ first two games of the season before going down. Tight end Ko Kieft, who sat out one game with an elbow issue, is also back in the lineup.

Dallas also named seven inactives, headlined by cornerback Cobie Durant, one of the Cowboys’ key offseason acquisitions, who will miss a second straight contest due to a hamstring injury. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, who started the Cowboys’ season opener before being sidelined, is also out with a hamstring injury, as is tackle Drew Shelton, a fourth-round draft pick this past spring who had appeared in reserve in each of Dallas’ first four games. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was ruled out due to illness. The Cowboys elevated cornerback Reddy Stewart and safety Juanyeh Thomas from their practice squad ahead of kickoff.
