TAMPA - Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin, who has not missed a single kick all season, was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October, the NFL announced Thursday.

McLaughlin went 7 for 7 on field goals in October, with a long of 53 yards, and 11 for 11 on extra points - 18 total kicks made without a miss, the most among all NFC kickers in the month. His 32 kicking points were also the most by any conference kicker without a miss during that span, and he accounted for 32% of all Buccaneers points scored in October.

Through Week Eight of the 2026 season, McLaughlin leads the NFL with 74 points scored, going a perfect 19 for 19 on field goal tries and 17 for 17 on extra point attempts. His five field goals of 40-plus yards in October were tied for the third most in the NFC during the month, and he has converted all four of his attempts from 50 yards or further this season. McLaughlin is the most accurate kicker in NFL history from that range, at 85.5%.

McLaughlin, in his eighth NFL season and fourth with Tampa Bay, is the first Buccaneer to win a Special Teams Player of the Month award since punter Jake Camarda took the honor in September 2023. He is the first Tampa Bay placekicker to earn the award in nearly two decades, since Matt Bryant was recognized in December 2007.

The Buccaneers return to action in Week Nine, where McLaughlin will look to extend his perfect streak on the field.
