FORT LAUDERDALE — Colombia’s national team trained at Inter Miami CF Stadium ahead of its FIFA World Cup 2026 Group K finale against Portugal, extending a relationship that has made the South Florida facility a de facto second home for the Cafeteros.

Colombia has already secured a spot in the Round of 32 after winning its first two group-stage matches and will look to lock down the top position in Group K against Portugal. The squad is undefeated in five appearances at Inter Miami CF’s home ground, having earned a 2-1 win over Honduras in January 2022, a 2-0 victory against Paraguay in November 2022, a 1-0 result over Venezuela in a friendly in November 2023 and a 2-1 win against New Zealand in November 2025.

Inter Miami CF Stadium and the club’s Florida Blue Training Center have hosted multiple national teams preparing for World Cup matches in Miami. Haiti, Turkey, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Scotland have all used the facilities as training sites during the tournament.

The World Cup buzz extends beyond the pitch. Nu Stadium is scheduled to host its first-ever concert June 28, featuring Mexican singer and two-time Grammy winner Carín León. León will perform “Lighter,” the official lead single for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Colombia’s match against Portugal will close out Group K play, with the Cafeteros aiming to carry their unbeaten run in South Florida into the knockout rounds.
