Daniel’s Miami, a luxury steakhouse in Coral Gables, has been ranked 40th on the World’s 101 Best Steakhouse Restaurants list just nine months after opening in late July 2025. The restaurant, owned by Gioia Hospitality Group, previously earned recognition as the 9th-best steakhouse in North America earlier this year. The global ranking places Daniel’s Miami among elite steakhouses worldwide, with Spanish restaurant La Cúpula in Jiménez de Jamuz claiming the top spot.

“Being ranked No. 40 in the world by the World’s Best 101 Steak Restaurants just nine months after opening is an incredible honor and a testament to our team’s passion and the support of our community,” said Thomas Angelo, founder of Gioia Hospitality. Angelo built the restaurant alongside his daughter Kassidy, describing it as a lifelong dream. The steakhouse operates from the former Fiola Miami location at 1500 San Ignacio Ave in Coral Gables.

“Building this restaurant alongside my daughter Kassidy has been a lifelong dream come to life. We’ve channeled every ounce of that passion into South Florida,” Angelo said. Daniel’s Miami has achieved several milestones since opening, becoming the first and only restaurant in the United States to receive the Global Meat Standard Certification. The restaurant also hosted The Rare Tour 2026 earlier this year alongside Laia and Casa Julián, two of the world’s top steakhouses.

Daniel Ganem leads the culinary team at Daniel’s Miami, delivering steakhouse classics with a focus on transparency and partnerships with ranchers worldwide who prioritize sustainability and humane practices. The restaurant serves premium cuts including Australian Wagyu, prime porterhouse, and filet mignon, emphasizing exceptional marbling, flavor, and consistency. Beyond traditional steaks, the menu features innovative offerings such as foie gras crème brûlée and caviar chips and dips, while honoring the legacy of the former Fiola restaurant.

The World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants organization, founded in 2018 in London, uses anonymous inspectors to evaluate restaurants based on criteria including quality of meat, wine program, design, and cuts. Spanish steakhouses dominated the top five rankings, with Margaret in Sydney claiming second place. The Eighty Six in New York’s West Village ranked 12th, making it the highest-rated North American steakhouse on the list.

Daniel’s Miami combines European-style hospitality with fresh local seafood alongside its premium steak offerings. The restaurant’s rapid ascent in the Miami steakhouse community reflects the culinary team’s expertise, having been established by the same professionals who helped build Fiola’s reputation. The World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list includes establishments from major cities worldwide, with Sydney having the largest representation at 12 restaurants and New York placing nine venues on the global ranking.
