MIAMI — The Miami Dolphins finalized their initial 53-man roster Sunday as part of the NFL’s league-wide roster cuts, carrying seven wide receivers and 10 offensive linemen into the 2026 season while placing defensive lineman Kenneth Grant and edge/inside linebacker Trey Moore on injured reserve with designations to return.
The losses of Grant and Moore thin a defensive front that will also be without cornerbacks Darrell Baker Jr. and Storm Duck, both moved to the reserve/physically unable to perform list. The four roster-exempt moves give the Dolphins flexibility to bring those players back later in the season but leave the club short-handed on defense entering Week 1.
Miami’s 53-man breakdown leans heavily on offense, with a seven-man wide receiver corps headlined by Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, Kevin Coleman Jr., Ryan Miller and AJ Henning. The 10-man offensive line features Patrick Paul, Aaron Brewer, Andrew Meyer, DJ Campbell, Josh Priebe, Marques Cox, Jonah Savaiinaea, Austin Jackson, Kadyn Proctor and Caedan Wallace.
The inside linebacker group carries six players: Jordyn Brooks, Willie Gay Jr., Jacob Rodriguez, Kyle Louis, Jackson Woodard and Ronnie Harrison Jr. The defensive backfield also numbers eight with Chris Johnson, JuJu Brents, Dante Trader Jr., Zayne Anderson, A.J. Green III, Ethan Bonner, Michael Taaffe and Jason Marshall Jr.
The Dolphins are expected to begin assembling their 17-man practice squad in the coming days as waiver claims clear across the league.
