MIAMI — The Miami Dolphins signed center Aaron Brewer to a contract extension through the 2029 season, the team announced Thursday, locking up the anchor of an offensive line that powered one of the NFL’s top rushing attacks last year.

Brewer earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2025 and was a finalist for the inaugural Protector of the Year Award after allowing only one sack all season — tied for the fewest among starting centers across the league, according to PFF. The Dolphins’ offensive line did not allow a sack in four games last year, the third most in the NFL, trailing only Jacksonville with five and Houston with five.

The 2025 season marked Brewer’s first as a team captain. Miami’s rushing attack averaged 4.7 yards per attempt, the NFL’s fourth-best mark, and the Dolphins rushed for at least 100 yards in each of those four sackless games. Miami was one of only four teams in 2025 — alongside Jacksonville, Detroit and Houston — to record 100-plus rushing yards without allowing a sack in four or more games.

Brewer joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent in 2024 after four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. He has appeared in 91 career games with 73 starts across six NFL seasons — 52 at center, 18 at left guard and three at right guard.

An undrafted college free agent out of Texas State, Brewer entered the NFL with Tennessee in 2020 and developed into one of the league’s most reliable interior linemen. His extension keeps him in Miami through his 10th professional season.

The Dolphins open training camp later this summer with Brewer now secured as the centerpiece of their offensive line heading into the 2026 season.
