MIAMI — The Miami Dolphins signed guard/tackle Kadyn Proctor, the 12th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the team announced Tuesday, locking up the 20-year-old Alabama product who started 40 games at left tackle for the Crimson Tide.

Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 352-pound lineman from Des Moines, Iowa, arrives in South Florida as a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC selection in 2025. He was selected by Miami in the first round, 12th overall, after three seasons at Alabama from 2023 through 2025.

The rookie’s college résumé is stacked with postseason credentials. Proctor helped Alabama capture an SEC title in 2023 and reach College Football Playoff appearances in both 2023 and 2025. He earned a spot on the 2023 SEC All-Freshman team before collecting second-team All-SEC honors in 2024.

Proctor’s versatility at guard and tackle gives the Dolphins flexibility along the offensive line as they build around the position. His 40 career starts — all at left tackle — represent one of the most extensive starting records among this year’s draft class.

The signing completes the standard process of inking a first-round selection ahead of training camp. Proctor is expected to compete for a starting role when the Dolphins open preseason later this summer.
