MIAMI — The Miami Dolphins acquired offensive tackle Caedan Wallace and a 2029 seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round selection, the team announced, pending a physical.
Wallace, 26, brings three years of NFL experience and 10 career games with two starts during two seasons with New England (2024-25) — one at left tackle and one as a sixth offensive lineman. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound lineman entered the league as a third-round selection (68th overall) by the Patriots in the 2024 NFL Draft.
A Robbinsville, N.J., native, Wallace played collegiately at Penn State from 2019 to 2023, appearing in 47 games with 40 starts at right tackle. His college pedigree and positional versatility give the Dolphins additional depth along an offensive line that has been a focal point of the franchise’s roster construction.
The trade is a low-cost move for Miami, swapping a 2028 sixth-rounder for a player with starting experience and a late-round pick a year later. Wallace’s familiarity with the AFC East — having played two seasons in New England — adds a layer of divisional knowledge to the Dolphins’ front.
Wallace must pass a physical before the deal is finalized. The Dolphins continue preseason preparations ahead of the 2026 regular season opener.
