FORT LAUDERDALE — Inter Miami CF II’s winless season extended to 15 matches after a 1-0 road loss to Chattanooga FC at Erlanger Park, dropping the developmental squad to 0-11-4 with just 5 points on the year.

Forward Alexander Krehl scored the lone goal in the 71st minute, heading home an in-swinging corner kick to give Chattanooga all three points in front of a record Independence Day crowd. Inter Miami II had generated the better chances through the first half and into the second but could not convert.

Goalkeeper Matias Marin, 18, kept the Herons level into halftime with a standout one-on-one save against a Chattanooga attacker. Captain Tyler Hall anchored a back four that also included Sloan Morrison, Daniel Sumalla and Rondell White, while Diego Rey, Ian Urkidi and Matteo De Paula started in midfield. Matias Acevedo and Nash Dearmin flanked Mateo Saja in the attacking line.

Despite controlling stretches of play and creating several dangerous chances after the break, Inter Miami II could not find an equalizer in the closing stages. The result leaves the club without a victory through 15 matches — a drought that now spans the entirety of the season.

Inter Miami II continues its road swing Saturday, July 11, against Atlanta United 2 at Turner Soccer Complex, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
