FORT LAUDERDALE - Inter Miami CF’s youth academy claimed seven championships across 11 age groups at the second annual Dreams Cup, a four-day tournament that nearly doubled in size from its inaugural edition and drew 1,200 teams from around the world to South Florida over Memorial Weekend.

The competition, held from May 22 to 25 at the Florida Blue Training Center and surrounding venues, featured more than 1,900 fixtures. Eight of Inter Miami’s 11 academy sides reached their respective finals, with seven winning titles in age categories ranging from U-8 to U-19.

The tournament’s opening ceremony drew a record 12,738 fans to Inter Miami CF Stadium - the largest attendance ever for an Inter Miami CF Academy event. The evening featured a flag parade followed by the academy’s U-14 squad defeating Pumas UNAM’s U-14 team 3-0.

Fans who purchased the VIP Experience received a guided stadium tour and a photo opportunity in the home locker room alongside trophies won by captain Leo Messi, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ballon d’Or, 2025 MLS Golden Boot and 2025 MLS MVP awards.

Inter Miami’s youngest competitors set the tone. The U-8 squad posted a perfect group-stage record with nine points and three wins in the U-8 Gold category, then dispatched Florida Premier FC and Weston FC by identical 10-2 scorelines in the semifinals and final. The U-9 team matched that perfect group run with nine points before beating ATL Xpress 10-5 in the semifinals and FC Dallas Academy 6-5 in the final.

The dominance carried through the older age groups. The U-10s earned nine points in the U-11 (U-10 9v9) category, then beat South Miami United FC 4-1 in the semifinals and Greater Boca YSA SFFA 2-0 in the final. The U-12 squad went unbeaten in the U-13 (U-12 11v11) category with three group-stage wins, defeated One FC 4-0 in the semifinals and routed Coerfontaine 8-1 in the final.

The U-14s won all three group-stage matches in the U-14 Super Group category and posted 2-0 scorelines in both the semifinals against Miami Futbol Rush Academy and the final against One FC. The U-15s topped their Super Group with three wins, eliminated Galacticos Soccer Academy 4-0 in the semifinals and beat West Florida Flames 3-1 in the final. The U-19 side completed the sweep with three group-stage victories in the U-18/U-19 Super Group, a 5-1 semifinal win over Galacticos Soccer Academy and a 4-1 triumph over Southern Homestead Soccer Academy in the final.
