The 2026 Spring Fling festival in Jacksonville Beach was canceled due to high winds and gale warning forecasts, organizers announced. Real Time Entertainment & Management made the decision citing public safety concerns as dangerous weather conditions swept across Central Florida’s coastline. The festival was scheduled to take place at the Seawalk Pavilion and feature musical performances by The Revivalists, Josiah & The Bonnevilles, Tank & the Bangas and other artists.

“We regret to inform you that the 2026 Spring Fling happening today has been officially cancelled due to gale warning forecasts and public safety concerns,” Real Time Entertainment & Management stated on its website. “The safety of our fans, artists, and staff is our absolute priority. Local authorities and meteorological reports have indicated a gale warning that makes it unsafe to proceed with the event.” All ticket holders will receive full refunds processed automatically within 7-10 business days, though the event cannot be rescheduled.

Dangerous weather conditions prompted multiple advisories across Central Florida’s coastal areas. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for coastal neighborhoods until 4pm, with winds expected between 20-30 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. High rip currents, rough surf, and a Gale Warning are in effect along the Central Florida coastline, creating hazardous conditions for beachgoers and boaters.

The strong weather system developed from a tight pressure gradient behind a stalled front over South Florida. Winds are expected to be between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph in some areas, while other forecasts show gusts reaching 40 mph at times. A High Surf Advisory remains in place, with waves building between 6 to 11 feet, and a Small Craft Advisory continues with offshore waters reaching 10-15 feet.

Beach conditions remain extremely dangerous with a high risk of rip currents continuing throughout the weekend. “Entering the water is strongly discouraged,” weather officials warned, as dangerous rough surf and strong rip currents persist. Boaters are urged to stay off the water due to the hazardous offshore conditions. Beachgoers should pay attention to flags flying at staffed lifeguard towers for current safety information.

The weather pattern is expected to bring sporadic speedy showers throughout the day with rain chances at 20-30% north of Orlando and 40-50% further south. While storms are not expected to be widespread, isolated storms cannot be ruled out, potentially producing gusty winds and lightning. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s, cooler than typical for the area.

“We share in your disappointment and appreciate your patience as we work through the logistics of this cancellation,” organizers said. Spring Fling is described as a festival that celebrates Florida through culture, creativity and entertainment. People with specific ticketing inquiries are asked to contact support@rteam.net for assistance with refund processing.

Weather conditions are expected to improve gradually early next week. While winds are expected to die down on Monday, a steady onshore breeze will allow sea breeze showers and storms to develop, with rain chances around 40-60% Monday and 30-50% Tuesday. Beach conditions will remain hazardous with rip currents and lingering rough surf continuing into the new week.
