LONDON - Kicker Cam Little drilled a 57-yard walk-off field goal as time expired Sunday to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 5 game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, capping one of the most dramatic finishes of the NFL season.
The game-winning kick came eight seconds after Eagles kicker Jake Elliott’s 48-yard field goal had given Philadelphia a 17-16 lead. Veteran running back and kick returner Ameer Abdullah then returned the ensuing kickoff 53 yards to the Eagles’ 39-yard line, setting up Little’s winner with one second remaining. Abdullah said he counted time in his head during the return to ensure a field-goal attempt remained possible. “We practice things like that,” Abdullah said. “I’m just glad we were able to execute in the moment, situationally.”
The final kick required punter and holder Logan Cooke to catch a high snap from backup long-snapper DaVon Hamilton - pressed into duty after starter Ross Matiscik sustained a game-ending shoulder injury in the first quarter - and place the ball cleanly for Little. “Snap goes up, Logan puts it down, and then arguably one of the most talented guys in the league comes up with a clutch kick in a clutch moment,” Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen said. Little credited Abdullah for making the kick possible. “Credit to that guy,” Little said. “Unbelievable moment for him, unbelievable play at the time it was.”
Wide receiver Parker Washington was the offensive engine for Jacksonville, catching six passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. His first score came on a 51-yard reception off play-action in the first quarter, three plays after nose tackle DaVon Hamilton stuffed Eagles running back Will Shipley three inches short of a first down on fourth-and-1 from the Jaguars’ 37-yard line. Washington’s second touchdown proved even more critical: on fourth-and-5 from the Eagles’ 27-yard line with 3:26 remaining, he made a one-handed catch in the end zone while matched up against cornerback Tariq Woolen to give Jacksonville a 16-14 lead. “It’s a big-time moment and big-time play,” Washington said. “Just being able to make that play, that’s what it’s all about. That’s what the offseason is for. That’s what all the training, that’s what the training camps, OTAs, that’s what it’s all about.”
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who also connected with wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter for a first down on the drive preceding Washington’s first score, praised Washington without reservation. “We consider him an elite wide receiver,” Lawrence said. “I don’t know what everybody else thinks, but we feel like he is pretty freaking good. What is important is what we believe on our team and the faith and trust I have in him, that our whole team has in him.”
Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, also contributed on defense, breaking up a fourth-and-3 pass from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts intended for wide receiver Makai Lemon midway through the third quarter to halt a Philadelphia drive past midfield. Coen called Washington’s first touchdown almost surreal. “That was wild,” Coen said. “It felt kind of too easy. He was rolling. It was a fast track, fast surface out there. He’s a threat to do something with it every time he touches the ball.”
Jacksonville returns to action next week as the Jaguars look to build on their 19-17 London win heading into the second half of the first quarter of the 2026 NFL season.
