MIAMI — The Miami Heat will travel to Quebec City to face the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, Oct. 3, in the first NBA preseason game ever played in the Canadian city, the league announced.
The game at Videotron Centre is part of the NBA Canada Games 2026, which has brought 16 NBA teams to six Canadian cities for 20 preseason games in front of more than 377,000 fans since the series began. Quebec City becomes the seventh host city.
“Being a part of the NBA’s first game in Quebec City means a lot. Growing up in Canada, I always dreamed of seeing the game continue to grow back home, and now I get to be part of that history wearing a HEAT jersey,” said Heat forward Andrew Wiggins. “I think the fans are going to make it an unforgettable experience.”
NBA Latin America and Canada Managing Director Arnon de Mello called the matchup “an exciting new chapter” for the league’s Canadian presence. “Live NBA basketball is a powerful way for us to connect with fans across Canada, and we look forward to showcasing Canadian talent and established stars from the Raptors and Heat in Quebec City and Vancouver this fall,” de Mello said.
Raptors forward Scottie Barnes, one of the league’s rising Canadian-born stars, emphasized the significance of playing outside Toronto. “Every time we wear the Raptors jersey, we’re representing the entire country, so it’s always special to have the opportunity to play games in communities across Canada,” Barnes said. “It’s important to us that fans from coast to coast have the chance to experience Raptors basketball, and we can’t wait to share those moments together this preseason in Quebec City.”
The game will air live in Canada, the United States and more than 200 countries and territories across television, digital and social media platforms. Canadian broadcast details have not yet been announced.
