The space-based attraction also landed at No. 3 on the worldwide ranking, boasting over 15,000 five-star reviews. The global rankings examine Tripadvisor reviews covering museums, natural wonders, and other tourist destinations worldwide.
“With such a huge selection of travel activities and excursions available on the platform, Tripadvisor helps travelers find the experiences that turn a trip into a lifelong memory,” said Tripadvisor President Kristen Dalton. The ranking showcases what the company calls “The Best of the Best Things to Do” and highlights the world’s top-rated experiences. The Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, an ornate church located in Barcelona, Spain, claimed the top spot globally in the rankings. However, Florida dominated the American rankings with multiple attractions placing in the top positions. The NASA Kennedy Space Center’s third-place global ranking represents the highest position achieved by any American attraction on the worldwide list.
Florida secured three of the top six positions in the national rankings, demonstrating the state’s appeal to travelers. The Stetson Mansion in DeLand claimed the No. 5 spot nationally, while John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo earned the No. 6 position. These attractions joined the Kennedy Space Center in representing Florida’s diverse tourism offerings, from space exploration to historic mansions and marine environments.

The complete national attractions ranking places the Empire State Building in New York City at No. 2, followed by Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee at No. 3, and Central Park in New York City at No. 4. Other notable attractions in the top 10 include the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City at No. 7, the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs, Colorado at No. 8, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City at No. 9, and Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, California at No. 10.
