ORLANDO — Orlando City SC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, 32, has been selected for the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge, giving the Lions two representatives during All-Star Week in Charlotte, North Carolina, from July 27-29.

Crépeau will make his debut in the skills competition, which pits top players from Major League Soccer against Mexico’s Liga MX at Truist Field on July 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Orlando City Academy player Caleb Trombino will also represent the club in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game on July 27, while Crépeau is set to appear in both the Skills Challenge and the MLS All-Star Game on July 29.

This year’s event marks a format shift. Each of the individual challenges will crown its own champion rather than following the traditional MLS-versus-opponent structure used in previous years. The night will feature five competitions: the Shooting Challenge, where players aim at multiple targets within 60 seconds; the Passing Challenge, a head-to-head test of distribution and accuracy decided by fastest time; Goalie Wars, a high-intensity battle between goalkeepers who kick, drop-kick and throw to score on their opponent while defending their own goal; and the Crossbar Challenge, where players compete head-to-head attempting to strike the crossbar from the top of the 18-yard box.

The evening will close with a new addition — the MLS vs. Liga MX Relay Challenge. The competition culminates in a team relay blending elements from each challenge as MLS and Liga MX stars go head-to-head in a timed format to determine bragging rights. Players from MLS NEXT Pro and special guests will also participate alongside the league’s top talent.

The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge will stream live exclusively on Apple TV in English and Spanish.
