SUNRISE — The Florida Panthers placed three players on NHL Network’s top 20 wingers list for the 2026-27 season, with Matthew Tkachuk earning the highest ranking at No. 8, followed by Sam Reinhart at No. 14 and newly acquired Brady Tkachuk at No. 18.
Matthew Tkachuk, 28, didn’t play until Jan. 19 last season after undergoing offseason surgery to repair a torn adductor muscle and sports hernia, but looked like his old self upon returning, posting 34 points (13 goals, 21 assists) in 31 games. The forward has helped the Panthers reach the Stanley Cup Final in three of four seasons since his arrival, hoisting the Cup in 2024 and 2025. He leads the Panthers in playoff scoring with 69 points (25 goals, 44 assists) in 67 postseason games.
Reinhart, 30, led the Panthers in goals (29) and points (61) in 64 games last season despite an injury cutting his year short. Since being acquired from the Sabres in June 2021, the two-time Selke Trophy contender has led Florida in goals (189), points (385), power-play goals (83), power-play points (147) and game-winning goals (32).
Brady Tkachuk, 26, enters his first season in South Florida after the Panthers acquired the former Ottawa Senators captain in a blockbuster trade in June. Despite being limited to 60 games due to injury last season, he produced 59 points (22 goals, 37 assists) and 162 hits with Ottawa. He leads the NHL with 1,747 hits since 2019-20.
The elder Tkachuk brother’s arrival pairs him with Matthew in Sunrise, giving the Panthers two elite power forwards on the wing alongside one of the league’s most complete two-way scorers in Reinhart. NHL Network is expected to release additional positional rankings in the coming weeks.
Florida opens its preseason schedule at Amerant Bank Arena on Sept. 20 against the Carolina Hurricanes, followed by a Sept. 26 matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
