Two men were arrested after firing multiple rounds outside a Pinecrest strip club early Wednesday morning, with bullets striking walls and windows while patrons remained inside the establishment. Jundy Rodriguez and Ricardo Hadam were taken into custody following the shooting at Stir Crazy, located at 12425 S. Dixie Highway, according to Pinecrest police. The suspects fled in a vehicle after the shooting but crashed into a Miami-Dade water and sewer pumping station during the pursuit.
“Very lucky for our officer that if he would have rolled up about 10 seconds earlier, that might have been a shootout between the officer and these guys,” said Pinecrest Police Department Chief Jason Cohen. Video obtained by Local 10 News shows the bullets flying outside the strip club after authorities said both men had been ejected by management. The shooting prompted a rapid response from Pinecrest police, who arrived as multiple rounds were being fired.
Rodriguez is facing charges of shooting or throwing a deadly missile, disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a child. He is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bond listed as “to be set.” Hadam’s charges and bond information were not immediately released by authorities.
The getaway car eventually crashed into the Miami-Dade water and sewer pumping station after making a sharp turn, preventing further danger to the community. Police confirmed that some of the bullets struck walls and windows while the club was open with patrons inside. Officers said the quick response likely prevented a more deadly outcome from the incident.
Cohen warned that gunfire will not be tolerated in the area and urged people to resolve disputes without resorting to violence. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours at the strip club on South Dixie Highway in Pinecrest. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances that led to the ejection of both suspects from the establishment before the gunfire began.
