Mason Tunbridge and Arney Rocha each recorded a goal and assist as Miami FC rallied from a halftime deficit to earn a 4-2 victory against Sporting Club Jacksonville at Hodges Stadium. The victory marked Miami FC’s first win of the season and their first time claiming victory on the road after trailing at halftime since a 2-1 victory against the Charleston Battery on October 7, 2023. Rocha, Alessandro Milesi, and Mathieu Ndongo all found the net in the second half to complete the comeback.

Jacksonville made a flying start, scoring the fastest goal of the season so far when Kieran Sadlier put home a cross by Harvey Neville after just 91 seconds. Miami leveled in the 13th minute when Tunbridge caught out the Sporting JAX back line on a quickly-taken throw in from Rocha. The hosts regained the lead midway through the half when Sadlier scored from the penalty spot, giving Jacksonville a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

Miami came out sharply to start the second half and in the 53rd minute pulled level again as Milesi scored from the left side of the box. The visitors took the lead just before the hour-mark as Rocha converted from the penalty spot in the 58th minute after being brought down in the box. Ndongo wrapped up the result with six minutes to go, scoring in the 84th minute off an assist from Rodrigo Da Costa.

The victory was the first time in more than two seasons that Miami scored four goals in a regular-season game, doing so for the first time since a 4-3 win vs. Louisville City FC on Sept. 21, 2023. For just the sixth time in club history, and the first time since the 2023 season, Miami FC saw four different players score in the win. The come-from-behind victory also marked the first time since October 2023 that the South Florida club had taken all three points on the road after trailing at halftime.

Former Rhode Island FC forward Mathieu Ndongo was one of Miami’s four goalscorers, netting his first professional goal in the 84th minute, doing so in just the second start of his professional career. Ndongo finished the 87-minute shift with a team-high six shots, which stands as the highest single-game total of any Miami FC player in the USL Championship this season. Mason Tunbridge and Arney Rocha both scored their first goals of the season in the win, while Alessandro Milesi scored his second in three games.

Rocha earned USLChampionship.com Player of the Match honors after the Colombian notched a goal and assist and recorded three shots overall to lead the visitors to all three points while also winning 5 of 8 duels and winning 2 of 2 tackles. Tunbridge notched his first goal and assist in the USL Championship as he and Rocha each tallied one assist in the win, complementing Miami’s most productive attacking game in more than two years.

Miami FC’s victory comes ahead of their 2026 Home Opener against Rhode Island FC on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Pitbull Stadium. After going 1W-1L-1T through its opening three games on the road, and staying unbeaten in its last two, the club returns to Pitbull Stadium looking to keep its newfound momentum alive. Rhode Island FC holds a perfect 2W-0L-0T record vs. Miami in the Sunshine State, with their last meeting resulting in a 1-0 victory for Miami on Sept. 19, 2026.
