A 24-year-old Sanford man faces multiple charges after allegedly committing domestic violence and leading law enforcement on a reckless chase through Flagler and Seminole counties. Korarise Hill was arrested following an incident that began with a domestic disturbance at a Circle K gas station in Palm Coast and ended with a PIT maneuver performed by deputies and troopers.
Hill faces charges including domestic battery, false imprisonment, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement with disregard for the safety of persons or property. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office collaborated in the arrest after Hill fled from the gas station when deputies approached his vehicle.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Circle K gas station after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance. Before deputies arrived, an employee at the gas station called to report a woman with several cuts and a black eye had walked into the store and asked them to call 911. The employee told authorities the woman was in fear for her life and had locked herself in the bathroom while Hill sat in his vehicle parked at a pump.
When deputies approached Hill’s vehicle at the gas station, he fled and drove onto Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. Deputies reported Hill ran a red light and drove recklessly during the pursuit. Dash camera footage captured the moments when law enforcement performed a PIT maneuver to stop the fleeing vehicle.
The victim spoke to deputies while receiving treatment for her injuries and provided details about the alleged assault. She told deputies Hill struck her several times, pointed a gun at her head and threatened to kill her, struck her with the gun and strangled her until she lost consciousness. The victim said Hill made her drive to Palm Coast from Sanford and kept hitting her during the drive.
During their time in Palm Coast, the victim reported they made several stops, and Hill would take the car’s key at each location so she couldn’t leave. When Hill told the victim to drive back to Sanford, she told him she needed to use the restroom, which led to the stop at the Circle K where she was able to seek help from employees.
The multi-agency response demonstrates the coordinated effort between Florida law enforcement agencies to apprehend suspects who flee across county lines. The case remains under investigation as Hill faces prosecution on the multiple charges filed against him.
