FORT LAUDERDALE — Luis Suárez scored a hat trick and Germán Berterame tallied a brace and an assist as Inter Miami CF rallied for a thrilling 6-4 home victory over the Philadelphia Union on Sunday, a match that produced the second-most combined goals in MLS history.

The 10-goal affair extended Inter Miami’s winning run to four matches and earned both Suárez and Berterame spots on the MLS Team of the Matchday for matchday 15 of the 2026 regular season — the first such selection for each player this campaign.

Berterame opened Inter Miami’s scoring in the 13th minute, capitalizing on an assist from captain Leo Messi to cut the deficit to 1-2. He struck again in the 42nd minute, once more assisted by Messi, to level the match at 3-3. Suárez then took over, shortening a 2-3 deficit with a volley from inside the box in the 29th minute, putting Inter Miami ahead 4-3 in the 44th minute, and sealing his hat trick in the 81st minute on an assist from Berterame to restore a 5-4 lead.

The Uruguayan striker has now contributed six goals and five assists in 11 appearances this 2026 regular season. Berterame, a Mexican international who arrived at the start of the season, has tallied seven goals and four assists across his first 15 appearances in Inter Miami colors.

The performance came on a prolific weekend across MLS. FC Cincinnati playmaker Evander recorded five goal contributions — two goals and three assists — in a 6-2 rout of Orlando City, becoming the ninth player in league history to reach that mark in a single match. Vancouver’s Brian White tallied two goals and two assists in a 4-2 win at San Diego FC, becoming the third American in MLS history to score 10 or more goals in four consecutive seasons. Nashville SC sits atop the Supporters’ Shield table heading into the World Cup pause after a 2-1 win over New York City FC.

Inter Miami next faces the break with momentum and a potent attack led by Suárez, Berterame and Messi as the club looks to build on four straight victories when MLS play resumes.
