FORT LAUDERDALE — Inter Miami CF forward Luis Suárez claimed AT&T Goal of the Matchday honors for Matchday 15, earning 45.4% of the fan vote for an acrobatic volley that launched a hat trick in a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Union.

The Uruguayan striker cushioned the ball on his chest while swiveling to blast a full volley past Philadelphia goalkeeper Andre Blake, setting the tone for a wild offensive showcase. The goal was the first of three Suárez tallied in the high-scoring affair.

Suárez topped a three-player shortlist that included Houston Dynamo FC leading goalscorer Guilherme, who finished second with 21.6% of the vote after curling home a long-range equalizer in a 1-1 draw at LA Galaxy. San Jose’s Preston Judd placed third at 18.6% for a near-post finish into the top corner that completed his brace in a 3-1 win at the Portland Timbers.

The 6-4 scoreline marked one of the highest-scoring matches of the MLS season and gave Inter Miami another statement result as the club continues its campaign at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

Inter Miami next takes the field at Chase Stadium, where Suárez and the squad will look to carry the offensive momentum into Matchday 16.
