Fitness influencer Wes Watson was arrested by Hallandale Beach police on March 17 after officers served him a domestic violence restraining order for allegedly beating his girlfriend. The 42-year-old Watson, who has built a following through viral fitness videos, was captured on video during his arrest, footage that was obtained by Local 10 News. The charges stem from an incident where Watson allegedly engaged in violent behavior against his girlfriend, including “forcibly slamming her head into a table,” according to a police report.

Authorities said the violence erupted after Watson’s girlfriend attended a Miami Heat game without him while wearing a shirt that showed cleavage. According to police, Watson became upset because he had paid for her breast implants and felt she was being disrespectful by showing them, while also accusing her of cheating on him. The incident left the victim with bruises all over her body, according to investigators.

Watson was already out on bond for allegedly participating in a violent fight in Miami when the domestic violence incident occurred. The fitness entrepreneur promotes an online coaching program that promises to help people “become the man you admire.” His brand, Watson Fitness, was launched after his release from prison in 2018, when he claimed to be sober and a reformed person.

The influencer’s criminal history dates back to 2009, when a California jury found him guilty on multiple charges, including robbery and assault and battery. Watson served nearly a decade in prison before his release in 2018, after which he established his fitness coaching business and began building his social media presence through motivational content and workout videos.

Watson remains behind bars in Broward County as the domestic violence case proceeds through the court system. The arrest represents a significant fall for the fitness personality who had positioned himself as a success story of personal transformation and rehabilitation following his previous incarceration.
